It’s a fair statement to make that stress is becoming a chronic condition in today’s society. More and more of us are being affected by mental health conditions like depression (1 in 3 of us) and anxiety which can be debilitating conditions. We don’t profess to be doctors over here at Team Limitless, but we do know that in our experience exercise can have a positive effect on our mental health.
Stress, we now know, actually causes physiological changes in our body which prevents weight loss and in some cases leads to storing fat – especially around our tummies. Actually, without sounding all grim reaper – stress is massively toxic, leaches goodness from our bodies and puts excess strain on our central nervous system and hormonal balance. But we know, it’s part of daily life.
Drawing on her experience in management development, our head trainer Kerrie offers development coaching alongside or independent to any personal training plan. She can help you navigate your way around those moments when stress cripples your thought process and motivation and help you neutralise the negative impact on your life. She will work with you to develop a set of tools to make you more resilient in the face of stress – and sometimes, she will just listen.
